If you’ve gotten this far, you’ve probably already seen a little bit about me. But just in case, my name is Gabriela! I’m a El Paso, Texas based lifestyle family and portrait photographer. I’m a military wife, mama to two babies of mine! I’m all about taking sometime to myself going to antiques & thrift stores, and always running with one to two cups of coffee.
My photography style is very laid back, natural, and timeless. I believe in the little in between moments make for the best photos, and I’m not about capturing awkward prom poses and forced smiles. I want the real stuff- the stuff that’ll make you laugh til your cheeks hurt and will make your heart beat faster. I want to photograph the things that make you who you are, and the things that make your love unique. Because there’s only so many angles and poses and pretty locations, and they’ve all been done before- but what makes each photo special is the memories attached to it, and my goal is to make those unique to you!

What to expect the day of your session
I totally understand getting your photos taken can be awkward. But the once nice thing about a maternity session is that you always have something to do with your hands! I will help guide you through the basic poses, like how to hold your belly, where to look, etc. I will also give you some actions and tips to help things feel more candid... and fun! Typically, I offer suggestions of where I think the photos will look best, based on the lighting. But I always love when clients have input! Please feel free to bring any props you'd like to include. Some clients will bring on ultrasound photos, blanket, letterboard, chalkboard, special baby outfit, baby shoes, etc. But don't let this stress you out, some clients don't bring anything and the photos are still perfect! This is completely up to you!

When is the best time to book your session?
A question I often here is, "When is the best time to book maternity photos?" It's crucial query- after all, most expectant moms prefer not to schedule two maternity sessions in a single pregnancy! However, the perfect timing can vary from one person to another. So, how do you decide?
Generally, the ideal window for maternity photos is between 28 to 34 weeks. This timeframe usually means your belly is beautifully round and you're still comfortable enough for a photoshoot. However, every pregnancy is unique. If you're expecting twins, or there are indications your belly might grace us with their presence sooner than expected, consider scheduling your shoot a bit earlier. Additionally, if this isn't your first pregnancy, you might begin to show earlier, which could also mean scheduling your session sooner.
Booking early or not only ensures you get the timing right but also offers more flexibility with locations and poses, making your session truly unique.
TRY-ON APPOINTMENT
Once you gain access to Style and Select, you'll unlock the door to Gabriela Vreeland Photography's Client Closet! Here's how it works: you'll have the opportunity to pre-select your desired items, choose a convenient time for your visit, and I'll ensure everything is prepared for your gown-fitting experience.
Try-on appointments are available Monday through Friday, from 10 AM to 5 PM, providing ample flexibility for your schedule. I’m also available to travel to you with all the items you’re interested in!
DAY OF THE SESSION
We will meet at the pre-determined time/location. In the event you're unable to schedule a specific try-on appointment, don't worry. We can allocate 15 minutes prior to your session start time for you to transition into your photo-ready outfits. Additionally, if necessary, a changing tent will be provided for your privacy and convenience.

- Sessions are offered in the morning or early afternoon to ensure the best lighting conditions
- Lighting is soft and studio-controlled using a PLM umbrella for a clean, natural look
- Lifestyle-focused session with a relaxed, baby-led approach
- If time and baby’s comfort allow, a few gently posed images of baby alone will be included
- Immediate family (parents + siblings) are always welcome to be part of the session

A meaningful way to spend time with your loved ones while documenting your connection. Perfect for outdoor family adventures, Maternity sessions, or Lifestyle Newborn sessions in the comfort of your home.
These sessions are designed to feel relaxed, natural, and heartfelt — giving you the time and space to be fully present while I capture the in-between moments and real emotion.

Collections only include immediate families per family session, for each additional person it is $35 per person including children and infants. The reason for this is because its when there are more people present for the photos, it requires me to do additional skin correcting than I would do if it it were only a immediate family. This add on is perfect for extended family photo sessions!

Preparing for your upcoming session.
After the contract is signed and the non-refundable fee is paid, you will receive my comprehensive Information + Styling Guide. This guide is designed to ensure that you and your family look exceptional on your session day. As part of this process, I take great pleasure in providing personalized styling assistance to help you prepare for your shoot. Additionally, you will receive an exclusive code for access to Style and Select.
You will receive a customized family questionnaire within a few days. Once completed, I will begin the process of tailoring your upcoming dream session.

Session Day
Every session is filled with giggles and silliness as I capture what you love to do as a family, the moments that light you up, and the connections you have with one another. So don't stress, relax and enjoy this moment with your love ones, let me capture those beautiful moments for you.

Gallery Delivery Day
Your best images will be ready for download within 2-3 weeks after your session in a online private gallery. You will be able to also purchase products via the shopping cart and purchase a la carte fine art prints and products.

How can we initially book you?
Read through the guide, choose a collection: from there, we'll decide on a date and location based on availability. Afterwards, I will email over a custom proposal. Once the retainer is paid and the contract is sign, you'll officially be on my calendar!
I have never invested this much in family photos- can you share more on your pricing structure & investment?
First off, I am eternally grateful to my amazing clients who have been with me since I started by business- the ones who have encouraged me to stand firm in my value. I'm so honored to even be considered as a documentarian of your life as it stands. I'm appreciative of every single person who reaches out in hopes they can get in front of my camera. I want this to feel so, so special and will continually craft an experience that is worth every penny- that is one of a kind.
I have learned this past two years since I've started my journey in the photography business and becoming a better artist has allowed me to curate and deliver an extraordinary experience. So, that in which I currently offer has quite literally increased in value.
By reducing the amount of sessions I accept and charging my worth, I am able to put more energy, care, creativity and attention into the sessions I do book and show up for. This is huge- as a client experience is number one for me. I want to be the best version of myself for you and yours.
When do we receive our image?
Typically, I deliver your gallery within 2-4 weeks. You will receive two types of files. One will be large in file, ready to print size. The second will be small file, ready to share across any social media.
What if the weather is bad?
I always encourage embracing whatever the weather ends up like, especially since I can shoot in any type of light. It's going to be unique experience no matter what other nature throws at us. However, if it is crazy town and could damage my gear or it's just not safe- we can absolutely reschedule the session!
How many images do we get?
Depends on the collection you choose. Time plays a big role with how many images you will get in return.
What if our house is a mess? my child has a meltdown, or I need to feed during the shoot?
Don't worry! I will find beauty in the mess. For your consideration, my favorite rooms to shoot in are generally the bedroom and any room with amazing natural light. Meltdowns are a part if their childhood and I totally understand. I've seen lots of bribery in my day. We can take a quick break and let them cool down! You can definitely feed during the shoot- I actually love documenting mama's breastfeeding. I think it's a beautiful momentane if you're okay with it, I'd love to document this moment for you. Otherwise, I can move onto different family members or catch candid moments with your little ones.
How does payment work?
I require 30% non-refundable fee to secure your date. Once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid, you will officially be on my calendar! I do have payment plans available.

Can we include or dog/pets?
Uhm, yes?! Bring your fur babies along!
Getting in the water (river, creek, pond) just wading around, feeling free. Bathing, swimming in any capacity.
Going to a park or open field and bringing a ladder, a kite, bikes, something whimsical where I am focused mostly on perspective and negative space.
Using florals.
Having the styling to be more of the focus- elevating that.
There's always something we could dream up together!
When do you typically shoot maternity?
Once you you enter your third trimester- typically around 30-34 weeks depending on how you are showing.
How long is a session?
The sessions range from 30 minutes up to 1.5 hours in coverage. This includes introductions, change into a few outfits, a home or location tour, putting on music, looking through your outfits, taking breaks.
What do you retouch on photos?
Besides color correcting, I retouch impermanent blemishes/marks/bruises. I don't retouch anything that is a part of your body (curves, double chins, etc.). If you're particularly self conscious about something, please let me know as I want you to feel 100% comfortable and confident with the posing and direction I give you while we shoot!
